AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Two Hundred Forty Dollars
($1,240,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for
Harlem-Baden Relief (Ashland-Abner) Detention Basins (99144B), in the City of St.
Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. for the aforesaid project.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid project is One Million One Hundred
Twenty-six Thousand Nine Hundred Twenty-six Dollars ($1,126,926.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Thirteen Thousand Seventy-
four Dollars ($113,074.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Two Hundred Forty Dollars
($1,240,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used
for project costs for Harlem -Baden (Ashland-Abner) Detention Basins (99144B), in the
City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder
for Harlem-Baden Relief (Ashland-Abner) Detention Basins (99144B), in the City of
St. Louis, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids
received and opened on the 13th day of June, 2001.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 12, 2001 by the following vote
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, J.W. Siscel, and
M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
