HomeMy Public PortalAbout11026 O R D I N A N C E NO. 11026 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,600,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Lower Meramec River Basin to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Fishpot East Sanitary Relief Phase IA (90022A1), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Essex Contracting, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Million Four Hundred Sixty-nine Thousand Four Hundred Seventy Dollars ($1,469,470.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Thirty Thousand Five Hundred Thirty Dollars ($130,530.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,600,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the Lower Meramec River Basin to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Fishpot East Sanitary Relief Phase IA (90022A1), in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Essex Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Fishpot East Sanitary Relief Phase IA (90022A1), in St. Louis County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 18th day of June, 2001. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 12, 2001 by the following vote Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, J.W. Siscel, and M.C. Williams. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
