HomeMy Public PortalAbout11027 O R D I N A N C E NO. 11027 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,900,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in DC-01 Creve Coeur Frontenac Sanitary Relief Phase II (90016A), in the Cities of Frontenac and Westwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Company for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Million Seven Hundred Thirty-four Thousand One Hundred Seventy-three and 65/100 Dollars ($1,734,173.65), and the allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Sixty-five Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty Six and 35/100 Dollars ($165,826.35), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,900,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in DC-01 Creve Coeur Frontenac Sanitary Relief Phase II (90016A), in the Cities of Frontenac and Westwood, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in DC-01 Creve Coeur Frontenac Sanitary Relief Phase II (90016A), in the Cities of Frontenac and Westwood, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 25th day of June, 2001. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 12, 2001 by the following vote Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, J.W. Siscel, and M.C. Williams. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
