HomeMy Public PortalAbout11034 1 O R D I N A N C E NO. 11034 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Thirty-five Thousand Dollars ($135,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers and appurtenances in Hempline Court Sanitary Sewer Replacement (Infrastructure Repair) 2001030 in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with R & R Finish Grading, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers and appurtenances is One Hundred Twenty-two Thousand Four Hundred Nineteen Dollars ($122,419.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Twelve Thousand Five Hundred Eighty-one Dollars ($12,581.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Thirty-five Thousand Dollars ($135,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers and appurtenances in Hempline Court Sanitary Sewer Replacement (Infrastructure Repair) 2001030 2 in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with R & R Finish Grading, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers and appurtenances in Hempline Court Sanitary Sewer Replacement (Infrastructure Repair) 2001030 in St. Louis County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 5th day of July, 2001. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 9, 2001 by the following vote – Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, and M.C. Williams. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
