PROPOSED O R D I N A N C E NO.
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Hundred Thirty-five Thousand
Dollars ($235,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for
the construction of storm sewers in Wanda and Dresden Relief Sewer (2000061),
in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the construction of the
aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Two
Hundred Twenty Thousand Nine Hundred Twelve Dollars ($220,912.00), and the
allowance for construction change orders is Fourteen Thousand Eighty-eight
Dollars ($14,088.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Thirty-five Thousand
Dollars ($235,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Improvement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of combined sewers in Wanda and
Dresden Relief Sewer (2000061), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder
for the construction of combined sewers in Wanda and Dresden Relief Sewer
(2000061), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and
opened on the 11th day of October, 2002.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 13, 2001 by the following vote
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, M.C. Williams,
and J.W. Siscel.
