AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Twenty-five Thousand
Dollars ($25,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Upper Paddock Creek to be used for project costs
for the construction of storm sewers in Meadowland Storm Sewer
(2000059), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Truss Brothers Construction
Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers
is Twenty-two Thousand Twenty Dollars ($22,020.00), and the allowance
for construction change orders is Two Thousand Nine Hundred Eighty
Dollars ($2,980.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Twenty-five Thousand Dollars
($25,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance
and Construction Improvement Fund of Upper Paddock Creek to be used
for the construction of storm sewers in Meadowland Storm Sewer
(2000059), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Truss Brothers Construction
Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of
storm sewers in Meadowland Storm Sewer (2000059), in St. Louis
County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 27th day
of July, 2001.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 13, 2001 by the following vote – Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, M.C. Williams, and J.W. Siscel. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
