AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Eight Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($1,850,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the rehabilitation of combined sewers in Repair and
Replace Sewer Systems in City Parks - Sewer Lining with CIPP Phase 2 (99123C1),
in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Insituform Technologies, USA, Inc. for the aforesaid
rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid rehabilitation of combined sewers
is One Million Six Hundred Eighty-two Thousand Eight Hundred Forty-three
Dollars ($1,682,843.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is One
Hundred Sixty-seven Thousand One Hundred Fifty-seven Dollars ($167,157.00),
and
WHEREAS, the United States Environmental Protection Agency has
agreed to contribute One Million Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars
($1,017,500.00) toward the costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds,
said money will be returned to the Sanitary Replacement Fund, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Eight Hundred Fifty Dollars
($1,850,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the rehabilitation of combined sewers in Repair and
Replace Sewer Systems in City Parks - Sewer Lining with CIPP Phase 2 (99123C1),
in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Insituform Technologies, USA, Inc. as the lowest responsible
bidder, for the rehabilitation of combined sewers in Repair and Replace Sewer
Systems in City Parks - Sewer Lining with CIPP Phase 2 (99123C1), in the City of
St. Louis, Missouri, within The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to
bids received and opened on the 8th day of August, 2001.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 13, 2001 by the following vote – Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, M.C. Williams, and J.W. Siscel. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
