HomeMy Public PortalAbout11071O R D I N A N C E NO. 11071 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Three Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($2,375,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in DC- 09 Deer Creek Sanitary Relief (90019), in the City of Ladue, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Two Million One Hundred Forty-nine Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-eight Dollars ($2,149,638.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Two Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Three Hundred Sixty-two Dollars ($225,362.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Million Three Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($2,375,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in DC-09 Deer Creek Sanitary Relief (90019), in the City of Ladue, Missouri. 2 Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in DC-09 Deer Creek Sanitary Relief (90019), in the City of Ladue, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 16th day of August, 2001. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 13, 2001 by the following vote Ayes – T.W. Purcell M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, M.C. Williams, and J. W. Siscel. Nays – None.
