AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million One Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($1,150,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Carson Villa
Woods Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Phase II (89176C), in the Villages of Bel-
Ridge and Bel-Nor, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Company for the construction of
the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is
One Million Thirty-eight Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty-three Dollars
($1,038,953.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is One
Hundred Eleven Thousand Forty-seven Dollars ($111,047.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million One Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($1,150,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement
Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Carson Villa Woods Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Phase II (89176C), in the
Villages of Bel-Ridge and Bel-Nor, Missouri.

Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Carson Villa
Woods Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Phase II (89176C), in the Villages of Bel-
Ridge and Bel-Nor, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th
day of September, 2001.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 13, 2001by the following vote
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, M.C. Williams,
and J.W. Siscel.
Nays – none.
