HomeMy Public PortalAbout11075O R D I N A N C E NO. 11075 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Eighty-five Thousand Dollars ($185,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, and Construction Improvement Fund of Missouri River-Bonfils to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of manholes in Missouri River Bonfils Inflow & Infiltration Correction Phase III (97040A), in the Cities of Bridgeton and Hazelwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with A & W Maintenance, Inc. for the rehabilitation of the aforesaid manholes. WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said manholes is One Hundred Sixty-eight Thousand Five Dollars ($168,005.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Sixteen Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-five Dollars (16,995.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Eighty-five Thousand Dollars ($185,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, and Construction Improvement Fund of Missouri River-Bonfils to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of manholes in Missouri River Bonfils Inflow 2 & Infiltration Correction Phase III (97040A), in the Cities of Bridgeton and Hazelwood, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with A & W Maintenance, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of manholes in Missouri River Bonfils Inflow & Infiltration Correction Phase III (97040A), in the Cities of Bridgeton and Hazelwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 12th day of September, 2001. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 13, 2001 by the following vote Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, M.C. Williams, and J.W. Siscel. Nays – None.
