AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Sixty Thousand Dollars
($60,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, and Construction Improvement
Fund of North Affton to be used for project costs for the construction of a
gabion wall and appurtenances in Grammond Creek – Heege to Brittin Storm
Channel Phase II (GRMB-200) (99050), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Dizdar
Brothers Sewer and Construction for the construction of the aforesaid gabion
wall and appurtenances.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said gabion wall and
appurtenances is Fifty-Four Thousand Six Hundred Forty-one Dollars
($54,641.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Five
Thousand Three Hundred Fifty-nine Dollars ($5,359.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, and Construction
Improvement Fund of North Affton to be used for project costs for the
construction of a gabion wall and appurtenances in Grammond Creek – Heege

to Brittin Storm Channel Phase II (GRMB-200) (99050), in St. Louis County,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
enter into a contract with Dizdar Brothers Sewer and Construction as the
lowest responsible bidder for the construction of a gabion wall and
appurtenances in Grammond Creek – Heege to Brittin Storm Channel Phase II
(GRMB-200) (99050), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 11th day of September, 2001.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 11, 2001 by the following vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, and M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
