O R D I N A N C E NO. 11094
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Two Hundred Twenty-five
Thousand Dollars ($1,225,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be
used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Old Town
Florissant Sewer Rehabilitation Phase I (89195), in the City of Florissant,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Insituform Technologies, USA, Inc. for the rehabilitation of the aforesaid sanitary
sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said sanitary sewers is
One Million One Hundred Eight Thousand Nine Hundred Sixteen and 50/100
Dollars ($1,108,916.50), and the allowance for construction change orders is One
Hundred Sixteen Thousand Eighty-three and 50/100 Dollars ($116,083.50), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Two Hundred Twenty-five
Thousand Dollars ($1,225,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary
Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary
sewers in Old Town Florissant Sewer Rehabilitation Phase I (89195), in the City of
Florissant, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Insituform Technologies, USA, Inc. as the lowest responsible
bidder for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in Old Town Florissant Sewer
Rehabilitation Phase I (89195), in the City of Florissant, Missouri, pursuant to
bids received and opened on the 2nd day of October, 2001.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 11, 2001 by the following vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, and M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
