AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Sixty Thousand Dollars
($60,000.00) from the Clean Water Capital Improvement Trust Fund for
the purchase of automatic transfer switches to energize back up
electrical generators at nine District pump stations in Bissell Pump
Station ORS Generators; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with ECC for the purchase of said
automatic transfer switches.
WHEREAS, the bid for the purchase of said Transfer
switches is Fifty-six Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty-four and 29/100
Dollars ($56,784.29), and the allowance for contingencies is Three
Thousand Two Hundred Fifteen and 71/100 Dollars ($3,215.71), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Sixty Thousand Dollars
($60,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Clean Water Capital
Improvement Trust Fund for the purchase of automatic transfer switches
to energize back up electrical generators at nine District pump stations
in Bissell Pump Stations ORS Generators.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with ECC for the purchase of
automatic transfer switches to energize back up electrical generators at
nine District pump stations in Bissell Pump Station ORS Generators,
said contract to be comprised of such terms and conditions as are
approved by the office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Three. This ordinance being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 11, 2001 by the following
vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, and M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
