AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Three Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($1,300,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Maline Creek to be used for project costs for the
construction of a paved storm channel and appurtenances in Hallstead Storm
Channel Phase III (MCBJ-230) 99051, in St. Louis County, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Mulligan
Construction, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid paved storm channel and
appurtenances.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said paved storm channel
and appurtenances is One Million One Hundred Seventy-three Thousand Eight
Hundred Forty-seven Dollars ($1,173,847.00), and the allowance for construction
change orders is One Hundred Twenty-six Thousand One Hundred Fifty-three
Dollars ($126,153.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Three Hundred Thousand

Dollars ($1,300,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance
and Construction Improvement Fund of Maline Creek to be used for project costs
for the construction of a paved storm channel and appurtenances in Hallstead
Storm Channel Phase III (MCBJ-230) 99051, in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Mulligan Construction, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder
for the construction of a paved storm channel in Hallstead Storm channel Phase
III (MCBJ-230) 99051, in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 12th day of September, 2001.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 14, 2001 by the following vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, C.D. Seward, and J.W. Siscel.
Nays – None.
