O R D I N A N C E NO. 11139
AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of Forty
Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used for
additional project costs for the construction of combined sewers in Garner &
Prather Relief Sewer Phase II (2000069), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract amendment with
Karsten Equipment Company for the additional project costs for the construction
of the aforesaid combined sewers.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 11046 adopted September 13, 2001,
appropriated the initial funding, and authorized the contract for said project, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Improvement Fund to be used for additional project
costs for the construction of combined sewers in Garner & Prather Relief Sewer
Phase II (2000069), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract amendment with Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of combined sewers in Garner & Prather
Relief Sewer Phase II (2000069), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 13, 2001 by the following vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, C.D. Seward, J.W. Siscel, and
M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
