AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million Eight Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($2,800,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for the purchase
and demolition of certain real property in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, known
and numbered as 8500, 8501, 8506, 8507, 8512, 8515, 8518, 8521, 8525, 8526,
8529, 8532, and 8535 Oriole Avenue; 8507, 8511, 8517, 8523, and 8525 Gilmore
Avenue; and approximately 2.4 acres of ground in the northwest corner of Calvary
Cemetery; for flood mitigation purposes in Harlem Baden Relief Phase II
(NorthPoint) - Property Acquisition (2002037); and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to purchase said real property.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Eight Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($2,800,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement
Fund for the purchase and demolition of certain real property in the City of St.
Louis, Missouri, known and numbered as 8500, 8501, 8506, 8507, 8512, 8515,
8518, 8521, 8525, 8526, 8529, 8532, and 8535 Oriole Avenue; 8507, 8511, 8517,
8523, and 8525 Gilmore Avenue; and approximately 2.4 acres of ground in the
northwest corner of Calvary Cemetery; for flood mitigation purposes Harlem
Baden Relief Phase II (NorthPoint) - Property Acquisition (2002037).
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
purchase and demolish certain real property in the City of St. Louis, Missouri,
known and numbered as 8500, 8501, 8506, 8507, 8512, 8515, 8518, 8521, 8525,
8526, 8529, 8532, and 8535 Oriole Avenue; 8507, 8511, 8517, 8523, and 8525
Gilmore Avenue; and approximately 2.4 acres of ground in the northwest corner of
Calvary Cemetery;, for flood mitigation purposes Harlem Baden Relief Phase II
(NorthPoint) - Property Acquisition (2002037), for the total purchase price not to
exceed Two Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,800,000.00).
Section Three. Upon the execution and delivery to the District of a
General Warranty Deed in proper form conveying title to the above-described real
property to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized to pay to the respective grantors a total
sum not to exceed Two Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($2,800,000.00)
for said real property.
Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 29, 2002 by the following vote
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, A.J. Soukenik, J.W. Siscel, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward,
and M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
