ORDINANCE NO. 11156
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Five Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($1,500,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for
project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Oak Drive to Bopp Lane
Sanitary Relief Phase I (99104), in the Cities of Crystal Lake Park, Des Peres, and
Frontenac, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Southern Ditching & Excavating Company for the construction of
the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One
Million Three Hundred Forty-three Thousand Sixty One Dollars ($1,343,061.00),
and the allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Fifty-six
Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty-nine Dollars ($156,939.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Five Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($1,500,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement
Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Oak
Drive to Bopp Lane Sanitary Relief Phase I (99104), in The Cities of Crystal Lake
Park, Des Peres, and Frontenac, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Southern Ditching & Excavating Company as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Oak Drive to Bopp
Lane Sanitary Relief Phase I (99104), in the Cities of Crystal Lake Park, Des Peres,
and Frontenac, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 15th day of
January, 2002.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 29, 2002 by the following vote
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, A.J. Soukenik, J.W. Siscel, M.G. Reichert, C.D. Seward,
and M.C. Williams.
