HomeMy Public PortalAbout11166 ORDINANCE NO. 11166 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Two Million One Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($2,175,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Alfred- Eichelberger Combined Sewer Relief Phase I (CIPP) (99079A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies, USA, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Million Nine Hundred Eighty-eight Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty-four Dollars ($1,988,964.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Eighty-six Thousand Thirty-six Dollars ($186,036.00), and WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) toward the costs of said project; upon the receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be returned to the Sanitary Replacement Fund, and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Million One Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($2,175,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Alfred-Eichelberger Combined Sewer Relief Phase I (CIPP) (99079A), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies, USA, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Alfred-Eichelberger Combined Sewer Relief Phase I (CIPP) (99079A) in The City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 19th day of December, 2001. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 20, 2002 by the following vote – Ayes- T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, C.D. Seward, and J.W. Siscel. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
