HomeMy Public PortalAbout11167O R D I N A N C E NO. 11167 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Creve Coeur – Frontenac to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Chapel Oaks Storm Sewer (2000078), in the City of Frontenac, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Truss Brothers Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Ninety Thousand Dollars ($90,000.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Creve Coeur – Frontenac to be used for the construction of storm sewers in Chapel Oaks Storm Sewer (2000078), in the City of Frontenac, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Truss Brothers Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Chapel Oaks Storm Sewer (2000078), in the City of Frontenac, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 21st day of December, 2001. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 20, 2002 by the following vote – Ayes- T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, C.D. Seward, and J.W. Siscel. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
