HomeMy Public PortalAbout11170O R D I N A N C E NO. 11170 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Thirty-seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($37,500.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Paddock Creek to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Bluefield Drive Storm Sewer (2000054), in the City of Florissant, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Truss Brothers Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Thirty-three Thousand Dollars ($33,000.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Four Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($4,500.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Thirty-seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($37,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Paddock Creek to be used for the construction of storm sewers in Bluefield Drive Storm Sewer (2000054), in the City of Florissant, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Truss Brothers Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Bluefield Drive Storm Sewer (2000054)), in the City of Florissant, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 8th day of January, 2002. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 20, 2002 by the following vote – Ayes- T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, C.D. Seward, and J.W. Siscel. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
