HomeMy Public PortalAbout11193O R D I N A N C E NO. 11193 AN ORDINANCE, authorizing employees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to sell back unused vacation or floating holiday time to the District for voluntary contributions to established trust funds associated with the events of March 8, 2002. WHEREAS, District employees Joseph Bisso, Robert Whitson and Steven Weiss were fatally attacked on March 8, 2002, and WHEREAS, trust funds have been established as a consequence of the events of March 8, 2002, WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District wishes to provide a means whereby District employees may sell back unused vacation or floating holiday time to the District for voluntary contribution to established trust funds associated with the events of March 8, 2002, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. Employees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby authorized to sell back unused vacation or floating holiday time to the District for voluntary contributions to established trust funds associated with the events of March 8, 2002. Section Two. Any floating holiday time sold back hereunder must be sold back in one-half (1/2) day increments. Any vacation time sold back hereunder must be sold back in hourly increments, provided, however, that the employee retains a one-week vacation balance after said sell back. The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 27, 2002 by the following vote – Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, C.D. Seward, and J.W. Siscel. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
