ORDINANCE MO, 66 -205
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
AMENDING SECTIONS 801 AND 901 OF THE
TEMPLE CITY ZONING CODE RELATING TO
SERVICE STATIONS AND DRIVE -IN RESTAURANTS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1. The City Council finds and determines that the
amendments hereinafter set forth were initiated by the Planning
Commission and have been processed through the Planning Commis-
sion and the City Council in the manner provided by State Law
and City Ordinance, that the same has been recommended by the
Planning Commission, and that the same will redound to the bene-
fit of the citizens of Temple City for the reason that service
stations and drive -in restaurants involve particularized traffic
and zoning problems not attendant to other commercial uses,
thereby calling for special review to avoid problems and hazards
relating to health, safety and welfare.
SECTION 2. Subsection (4) of Section 801 of the Temple
City Zoning Code is hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. Subsection (35) of Section 901 of the Temple
City Zoning Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
(35) Restaurants, excluding drive -in
restaurants.
SECTION 4. A new subsection (45), reading as follows, is
hereby added to Section 901 of the Temple City Zoning Code:
(45) Service stations and drive -in restaurants,
provided that a Conditional Use Permit pursuant
to Article 18 is first issued with respect
thereto, and subject to the conditions imposed
by any such permit.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk of the City of Temple City
shall certify to the passage and adoption of this Ordinance and
to its approval by the Mayor and shall cause the same to be
published in the Temple City Times, a newspaper of general cir-
culation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Tempi;-
City.
