AUTHORIZING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
BEACON PLANNING & CONSULTING SERVICES, L.L.C. / LANDFILL
REDEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret requires professional planning/real estate
development services with regard to the planning and redevelopment, as well as land
value determinations, development costs and tax abatement analysis required for the
negotiation with modifications to the Bell Mead Landfill Redevelopment Agreement;
and
WHEREAS, the Borough has received a proposal from Beacon Planning &
Consulting Services, L.L.C. ("Beacon Plarming"), to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Attorney has reviewed said proposal and has
recommended the approval of the same; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Finance Officer has certified that funds are or will be
available for the same.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret as follows:
1. The proposal from Beacon Planning & Consulting Services,
L.L.C., Colts Towne Plaza, Suite 207, 41 State Highw~ay 34 South,
Colts Neck, NJ 07722, to provide professional planning/real estate
development services in an amount not to exceed Seventy Five
Hundred Dollars ($7,500.00) is hereby approved.
2. The appropriate Borough officials are hereby authorized to
enter into an agreement with Beacon Planning to provide the above
described services.
3. This action is approved without competitive bids as an award
of a professional services contract.
4. A copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to Beacon
Planning, the Municipal Finance Office and the Borough Attorney.
Adopted this 18th day of April, 2002
and certified as a tree copy of the
original on April 19, 2002.
