HomeMy Public PortalAbout11218 O R D I N A N C E NO. 11218 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,500,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Towne South Interceptor Sanitary Relief Phase I (90077), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is One Million Three Hundred Sixty-four Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy-five Dollars ($1,364,775.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Thirty-five Thousand Two Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($135,225.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,500,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Towne South Interceptor Sanitary Relief Phase I (90077), in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bates Utility Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Towne South Interceptor Sanitary Relief Phase I (90077), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 9th day of April, 2002. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 13, 2002 by the following vote – Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, C.D. Seward, J.W. Siscel, and M.C. Williams. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
