HomeMy Public PortalAbout11219 1 O R D I N A N C E NO. 11219 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek for the purchase of certain real property in the City of Rock Hill, Missouri known and numbered as 812 and 916 Des Peres Drive and 218, 219, and 220 Almentor Place, and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to purchase and demolish said real property for flood mitigation purposes in the project known as Des Peres and Almentor Storm Channel (DCMB-190) 99054. WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek for the purchase of certain real property in the City of Rock Hill, Missouri known and numbered as 812 and 916 Des Peres Drive and 218, 219, and 220 Almentor Place. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to purchase and demolish certain real property in the City of Rock Hill, Missouri 2 known and numbered as 812 and 916 Des Peres Drive and 218, 219, and 220 Almentor Place for flood mitigation purposes in the project known as Des Peres and Almentor Storm Channel (DCMB-190) 99054, for a total purchase price not to exceed Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750,000.00). Section Three. Upon the execution and delivery to the District of a General Warranty Deed in proper form conveying title to the above-described real property to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized to pay to the grantors a total sum not to exceed Seven Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($750,000.00) for said real property. Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 13, 2002 by the following vote – Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, C.D. Seward, J.W. Siscel, and M.C. Williams. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
