AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Twenty-six Thousand Dollars
($26,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of The University City Branch of River Des Peres to be
used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Miriam and
Spencer Storm Sewer (99065), in the City of Overland, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
J.W. Bommarito Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of the
aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers
is Twenty-three Thousand Seven Hundred Nine Dollars ($23,709.00),
and the allowance for construction change orders is Two Thousand Two
Hundred Ninety-one Dollars ($2,291.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Twenty-six Thousand Dollars
($26,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance
and Construction Improvement Fund of The University City Branch of
River Des Peres to be used for the construction of storm sewers in
Miriam and Spencer Storm Sewer (99065), in the City of Overland,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.W. Bommarito Construction
Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of
storm sewers in Miriam and Spencer Storm Sewer (99065), in the City of
Overland, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 16th
day of April, 2002.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 26, 2002 by the following
vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, C.D. Seward, J.W.
Siscel, and M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
