AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Ninety
Thousand Dollars ($590,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to be used for
project costs for the construction of storm sewers in New Florissant Road
1700 Block Storm Channel (CLD-22) 2000041, in the City of Florissant,
Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Mulligan Construction, Inc. for the construction of
the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers
is Five Hundred Thirty-five Thousand Six Hundred Nineteen and 62/100
Dollars ($535,619.62), and the allowance for construction change orders
is Fifty-four Thousand Three Hundred Eighty Dollars and 38/100
($54,380.38), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Ninety Thousand
Dollars ($590,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Coldwater Creek to
be used for the construction of storm sewers in New Florissant Road
1700 Block Storm Channel (CLD-22) 2000041, in the City of Florissant,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Mulligan Construction, Inc.
as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in
New Florissant Road 1700 Block Storm Channel (CLD-22) 2000041, in
the City of Florissant, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on
the 18th day of April, 2002.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 26, 2002 by the following
vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, C.D. Seward, J.W.
Siscel, and M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
