from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used toward project costs for outfall
sewer construction in Lower Meramec River WWTP Outfall Sewer (95066M), in St.
Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Bates Utility Co., Inc. for the aforesaid project.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid project is Six Million Nine
Hundred Ninety-two Thousand Dollars ($6,992,000.00), and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 7.160 of the Charter of the District,
the appropriation effected herein will not result in a deficit at the end of the current
budget year,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used toward project costs
for outfall sewer construction in Lower Meramec River WWTP Outfall Sewer
(95066M), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Bates Utility Co., Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for
outfall sewer construction in Lower Meramec River WWTP Outfall Sewer (95066M),
in St. Louis County, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District,
pursuant to bids received and opened on the 6th day of May, 2002.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 26, 2002 by the following vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, C.D. Seward, J.W. Siscel,
and M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
