O R D I N A N C E NO. 11248
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Hundred Thousand
Dollars ($600,000.00) from the Caulks Creek Construction Fund to be
used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Infrastructure Repair #087P Caulks Creek “A” (P-750) Phase III (93077B),
in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Essex Contracting, Inc. for
the aforesaid construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid sanitary sewers is Five
Hundred Forty-six Thousand Nine Hundred Forty-eight Dollars
($546,948.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Fifty-
three Thousand Fifty-two Dollars ($53,052.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Six Hundred Thousand Dollars
($600,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Caulks Creek
Construction Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of
sanitary sewers in Infrastructure Repair #087P Caulks Creek “A” (P-750)
Phase III (93077B), in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Essex Contracting, Inc. as the
lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in
Infrastructure Repair #087P Caulks Creek “A” (P-750) Phase III (93077B),
in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 14th day of
May, 2002.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 26, 2002 by the following vote:
Ayes: Mr. Purcell, Mr. Soukenik, Mr. Williams, Ms. Reichert, and Ms. Seward.
