AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($150,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Clayton Central to be used for project
costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in East Clayton Central
Sewer Phase VII (99044), in the City of Clayton, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with
Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. for the rehabilitation of the aforesaid
sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said sanitary
sewers is One Hundred Thirty-three Thousand Five Hundred Ninety-six
Dollars ($133,596.00), and the allowance for construction change orders
is Sixteen Thousand Four Hundred Four Dollars ($16,404.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($150,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Clayton Central to
be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in East
Clayton Central Sewer Phase VII (99044), in the City of Clayton,
Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA,
Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of sanitary
sewers in East Clayton Central Sewers Phase VII (99044), in the City of
Clayton, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 17th day
of May, 2002.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted on June 26, 2002 by the following
vote-
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, C.D. Seward, and
M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
