AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Thirty-six Thousand
Hundred Dollars ($36,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Fountain Creek to be used for project
costs for the construction of storm sewers in Apache Drive Storm Sewer
(2000053), in the City of Florissant, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.W. Bommarito
Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid storm
sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers
is Thirty-two Thousand Six Hundred Fifty-seven Dollars ($32,657.00),
and the allowance for construction change orders is Three Thousand
Three Hundred Forty-three Dollars ($3,343.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Thirty-six Thousand Hundred
Dollars ($36,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Fountain Creek to
be used for the construction of storm sewers in Apache Drive Storm
Sewer (2000053), in the City of Florissant, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.W. Bommarito Construction
Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of
storm sewers in Apache Drive Storm Sewer (2000053), in the City of
Florissant, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 22nd
day of May, 2002.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 26, 2002 by the following
vote-
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, C.D. Seward, and
M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
