O R D I N A N C E NO. 11253
AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars ($17,500.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project
costs for the construction of combined sewers in CSO-Tesson Avenue and Van
Buren Avenue CSO Interceptor (I-169) 2001120, in the City of St. Louis, Missouri;
and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with J.W. Bommarito
Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid combined
sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said combined sewers is
Fifteen Thousand Six Hundred Forty-five Dollars ($15,645.00), and the allowance
for construction change orders is One Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-five Dollars
($1,855.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars ($17,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund
to be used for project costs for the construction of combined sewers in CSO-
Tesson Avenue and van Buren Avenue CSO Interceptor (I-169) 2001120, in the
City of St. Louis, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with J.W. Bommarito Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of combined sewers in CSO-Tesson Avenue
and Van Buren Avenue CSO Interceptor (I-169) 2001120, in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 23rd day of May, 2002.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 26, 2002 by the following vote-
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, C.D. Seward, and M.C.
Williams.
Nays – None.
