HomeMy Public PortalAbout11254 O R D I N A N C E NO. 11254 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($4,800,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in LC - 01 Felton, Arlee and Vida to Clyde Sanitary Relief Phase II (90056A), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Four Million Four Hundred One Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-three and 50/100 Dollars ($4,401,853.50), and the allowance for construction change orders is Three Hundred Ninety-Eight Thousand One Hundred Forty-six and 50/100 Dollars ($398,146.50), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Million Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($4,800,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in LC - 01 Felton, Arlee and Vida to Clyde Sanitary Relief Phase II (90056A), in St. Louis County, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in LC - 01 Felton, Arlee and Vida to Clyde Phase II Sanitary Relief (90056A), in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 24th day of May, 2002. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 26, 2002 by the following vote- Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, C.D. Seward, and M.C. Williams. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
