AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eighty-Five Thousand
Dollars ($85,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Blackjack-Dellwood to be used for project costs for
the construction of a storm channel in Crown Point Channel
Improvement (99060), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bill Lippold
Construction for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers
is Seventy-six Thousand Nine Hundred Forty and 45/100 Dollars
($76,940.45), and the allowance for construction change orders is Eight
Thousand Fifty-nine and 55/100 Dollars ($8,059.55), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Eighty-Five Thousand Dollars
($85,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance
and Construction Improvement Fund of Blackjack-Dellwood to be used
for the construction of a storm channel in Crown Point Channel
Improvement (99060), in the St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Bill Lippold Construction as
the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of a storm channel in
Crown Point Channel Improvement (99060), in the St. Louis County,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 29th day of May,
2002.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 26, 2002 by the following
vote-
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, C.D. Seward, and
M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
