AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Ninety–six Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($96,500.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be used for project
costs for the construction of a stormwater channel in Earl Avenue #1123
Storm Channel (DCTM – 160) #98074, in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri;
and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. for the
construction of the aforesaid stormwater channel.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said stormwater
channel is Eighty-seven Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-eight Dollars
($87,638.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Eight
Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-two Dollars ($8,862.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Ninety-six Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars ($96,500.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek to be
used for project costs for the construction of a stormwater channel in
Earl Avenue #1123 Storm Channel (DCTM-160) #98074, in the City of
Kirkwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Gershenson Construction
Company, as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of a
stormwater channel in Earl Avenue #1123 Storm Channel (DCTM-160)
#98074, in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and
opened on the 10th day of June, 2002.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 26, 2002 by the following
vote-
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, C.D. Seward, and
M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
