HomeMy Public PortalAbout11258 O R D I N A N C E NO. 11258 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Four Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($1,425,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of Harlem-Baden Relief (Ashland-Abner) Wet Weather Pump Station (99144D), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Tarlton Corporation for the aforesaid construction. WHEREAS, the bid for the aforesaid construction is One Million Two Hundred Eighty-six Thousand Dollars ($1,286,000.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Thirty-nine Thousand Dollars ($139,000.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Four Hundred Twenty-five Thousand ($1,425,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of Harlem - Baden (Ashland-Abner) Wet Weather Pump Station Sewer Construction (99144D), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Tarlton Corporation as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of Harlem-Baden Relief (Ashland-Abner) Wet Weather Pump Station (99144D), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 11th day of June, 2002. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 26, 2002 by the following vote- Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, C.D. Seward, and M.C. Williams. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
