AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of
One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) from the Operation,
Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Blackjack-
Dellwood Creek to be used for additional project costs for the
construction of a storm channel in Edgefield-Monarch Channel
Improvement (MCBJ-260) (99109), in St. Louis County, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract
amendment with Gershenson Construction Company, Inc. for the
additional project costs for construction of the aforesaid storm channel.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 11006 adopted July 12, 2001,
appropriated the initial funding for and authorized the contract for said
project, and
WHEREAS, the design consultant for said project has agreed
to reimburse the District for the additional funds as herein appropriated;
upon the receipt of such funds from said source, said money will be
returned to the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement
Fund of Blackjack-Dellwood Creek, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Thousand Dollars
($100,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance
and Construction Improvement Fund of Blackjack-Dellwood Creek to be
used for additional project costs for the construction of a storm channel
in Edgefield-Monarch Channel Improvement (MCBJ-260) (99109), in St.
Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract amendment with Gershenson
Construction Company, Inc. for the additional project costs for
construction of a storm channel in Edgefield-Monarch Channel
Improvement (MCBJ-260) (99109), in St. Louis County, Missouri,
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 26, 2002 by the following
vote-
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, C.D. Seward, and
M.C. Williams.
Nays – None.
