AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars
($55,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement
Fund of Wellston to be used for project costs for the construction of a gabion wall
and appurtenances in 70th Ave. Channel Improvement (ECMB-200) (2000052), in
the City of Pagedale, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc. for the construction of the
aforesaid gabion wall and appurtenances.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said gabion wall and
appurtenances is Forty-Nine Thousand Six Hundred Fifty-Five Dollars
($49,655.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Five Thousand
Three Hundred Forty-Five Dollars ($5,345.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars ($55,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Wellston to be used for project costs for the construction of
a gabion wall and appurtenances in 70th Ave. Channel Improvement (ECMB-200)
(2000052), in the City of Pagedale, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder
for the construction of a gabion wall and appurtenances in 70th Ave. Channel
Improvement (ECMB-200) (2000052), in the City of Pagedale, Missouri, with The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on
the 10th day of July, 2002.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The Foregoing ordinance was adopted July 18, 2002 by the following vote –
Ayes – T.W. Purcell, M.G. Reichert, A.J. Soukenik, M.C. Williams, and J.W. Siscel.
Nays – None.
