HomeMy Public PortalAbout11296 O R D I N A N C E NO. 11296 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars
($900,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the
construction of the Lemay Treatment Plant Process Water Line Phase II (99096A), in
St. Louis County, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive-Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Gross Mechanical Contractors, Inc. for the aforesaid water line.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said water line is Eight
Hundred Twenty Thousand One and 12/100 Dollars ($820,001.12), and the allowance
for construction change orders is Seventy-nine Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety-eight
and 88/100 Dollars ($79,998.88), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars ($900,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs
for the construction of the Lemay Treatment Plant Process Water Line Phase II
(99096A), in St. Louis County, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a
contract with Gross Mechanical Contractors, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for
the construction of the Lemay Treatment Plant Process Water Line Phase II (99096A),
in St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to the bids received and opened on the 25th day
of July, 2002.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall
take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 8, 2002 by the following vote-
Ayes – C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, and J.W. Siscel.
Nays – None.
