HomeMy Public PortalAbout11298 O R D I N A N C E NO. 11298 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($580,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Lower Meramec River Basin to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Nettlecreek-Brookwood Sanitary Relief (Thornhill Section) (99074A), in the City of Town and Country, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Company, LTD. for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Five Hundred Twenty-eight Thousand Five Hundred Ninety-three Dollars ($528,593.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Fifty-one Thousand Four Hundred Seven Dollars ($51,407.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Five Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($580,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of the Lower Meramec River Basin to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Nettlecreek- Brookwood Sanitary Relief (Thornhill Section) (99074A), in The City of Town and Country, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Unnerstall Contracting Company, LTD. as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Nettlecreek- Brookwood Sanitary Relief (Thornhill Section) (99074A), in the City of Town and Country, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 5th day of August, 2002. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The Foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 8, 2002 by the following vote- Ayes – C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, and J.W. Siscel. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
