AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Ninety-five Thousand Dollars
($95,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Creve Coeur-Frontenac to be used for project costs
for the construction of storm sewers in Conway Road Storm Sewer
(DCMB-105) (99081), in the City of Town and Country and Village of
Westwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to enter into a contract with Dizdar Brothers Sewer &
Construction for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers
is Eighty-five Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty-five and 49/100 Dollars
($85,965.49), and the allowance for construction change orders is Nine
Thousand Thirty-four and 51/100 Dollars ($9,034.51), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Ninety-five Thousand Dollars
($95,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance
and Construction Improvement Fund of Creve Coeur-Frontenac to be
used for the construction of storm sewers in Conway Road Storm Sewer
(DCMB-105) (99081), in the City of Town and Country and Village of
Westwood, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Dizdar Brothers Sewer &
Construction Company, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the
construction of storm sewers in Conway Road Storm Sewer (DCMB-105)
(99081), in the City of Town and Country and Village of Westwood,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 8th day of August,
2002.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 12, 2002 by the
following vote –
Ayes – C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, M.C. Williams, and
J.W. Siscel.
Nays – None.
