AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Thirty Thousand
Dollars ($130,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction
Improvement Fund of Creve Coeur-Frontenac to be used for project costs for the
construction of the Alden-Middlebrook-Sherwyn Storm Channel (99078), in the
City of Creve Couer, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Dave’s Lawn & Landscaping Services, Inc. for the construction
of the aforesaid storm channel.
WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm channel is One
Hundred Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-four Dollars ($118,574.00),
and the allowance for construction change orders is Eleven Thousand Four
Hundred Twenty-six Dollars ($11,426.00), and
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri has agreed to contribute Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) toward the costs of said project; upon the receipt
of such funds, said money will be returned to the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Creve Coeur-Frontenac, and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an
unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation
authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars
($130,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Creve Coeur-Frontenac to be used for project
costs for the construction of the Alden-Middlebrook-Sherwyn Storm Channel
(99078), in the City of Creve Coeur, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are
hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Dave’s Lawn & Landscaping Services, Inc. as the lowest
responsible bidder for the construction of the Alden-Middlebrook-Sherwyn Storm
Channel (99078), in the City of Creve Coeur, Missouri, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 15th day of August, 2002.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance,
shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 12, 2002 by the following vote –
Ayes – C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, M.C. Williams, and J.W. Siscel.
Nays – None.
