HomeMy Public PortalAbout11331 O R D I N A N C E NO. 11331 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Million Three Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($1,375,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Lemay Service Area Overflow Regulation System (L-06B1) Gate Modifications – Section B1 (94065B1), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Goodwin Brothers Construction Company for the construction of aforesaid modifications. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of the said modifications is One Million Two Hundred Forty-nine Thousand Dollars ($1,249,000.00), and the cost of easement acquisition, utility relocations and allowance for construction change orders is One Hundred Twenty-six Thousand Dollars ($126,000.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Million Three Hundred Seventy-five Thousand Dollars ($1,375,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of the Lemay Service Area Overflow Regulation System, Middle River des Peres (L-06B1) Gate Modifications – Section B1 (94065B1), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Goodwin Brothers Construction Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of the Lemay Service Area Overflow Regulation System, Middle River des Peres (L-06B1) Gate Modifications – Section B1 (94065B1), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 30th day of August, 2002. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 12, 2002 by the following vote- Ayes – C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, M.C. Williams, and J.W. Siscel. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
