HomeMy Public PortalAbout11345O R D I N A N C E NO. 11345 AN ORDINANCE, making a supplemental appropriation of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) from the Clean Water Capital Improvement Trust Fund to be used for additional project costs for the construction of an earthen berm, clay liner, leachate collection system, and site improvements for a special waste landfill in Prospect Hill Land Reclamation Project – Phase III (99133), in the City of St. Louis and Village of Riverview, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract amendment with J.H. Berra Construction Company, Inc. for the aforesaid addition construction. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 10604, adopted August 5, 1999, appropriated the initial funding for and authorized the contract for said project, and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Clean Water Capital Improvement Trust Fund to be used for additional project costs for the construction of an earthen berm, clay liner, leachate collection system, and site improvements for a special waste landfill in Prospect Hill Land Reclamation Project – Phase III (99133), in the City of St. Louis and Village of Riverview, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary- Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract amendment with J.H. Berra Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of an earthen berm, clay liner, leachate collection system, and site improvements for a special waste landfill in Prospect Hill Land Reclamation Project – Phase III (99133), in the City of St. Louis and Village of Riverview, Missouri. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 3, 2002by the following vote – Ayes – C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, M.C. Williams, and J.W. Siscel. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
