HomeMy Public PortalAbout11346 O R D I N A N C E NO. 11346 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eight Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($825,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Elm to Larson Park Sanitary Relief Phase I (96089), in the Cities of Glendale and Webster Groves, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Company for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Seven Hundred Seventy Thousand Six Hundred Seventy-three Dollars ($770,673.00), and the allowance for construction change orders is Fifty-four Thousand Three Hundred Twenty-seven Dollars ($54,327.00), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Eight Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($825,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in Elm to Larson Park Sanitary Relief Phase I (96089), in The Cities of Glendale and Webster Groves, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Karsten Equipment Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in Elm to Larson Park Sanitary Relief Phase I (96089), in the Cities of Glendale and Webster Groves, Missouri, with The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 27th day of August, 2002. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 3, 2002 by the following vote – Ayes – C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, M.C. Williams, and J.W. Siscel. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
