AN ORDINANCE, appropriating One Hundred Seventy-Five
Thousand Dollars ($175,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and
Construction Improvement Fund of Lower Meramec River Basin to be
used for project costs for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in
Riverside-Yarnell Manhole Rehabilitation (2001122), in the City of
Fenton, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter
into a contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc. for the rehabilitation of
the aforesaid sanitary sewers.
WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said sanitary
sewers is One Hundred Sixty-three Thousand Three Hundred Thirty
Dollars ($163,330.00), and the allowance for construction change orders
is Eleven Thousand Six Hundred Seventy Dollars ($11,670.00), and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is
an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the
obligation authorized herein,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Hundred Seventy-five
Thousand Dollars ($175,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the
Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Lower
Meramec River Basin to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of
sanitary sewers in Riverside-Yarnell Manhole Rehabilitation (2001122),
in the City of Fenton, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Schuster Engineering, Inc. as
the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of sanitary sewers in
Riverside-Yarnell Manhole Rehabilitation (2001122), in the City of
Fenton, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 20th day
of September, 2002.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation
ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 14, 2002 by the
following vote –
Ayes – C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, M.C. Williams, and J.M.
Swartz.
Nays – None.
