HomeMy Public PortalAbout11358 O R D I N A N C E NO. 11358 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eight Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($830,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek for the purchase and demolition of certain real property in the City of Maplewood, Missouri known in and numbered as 7105, 7107 and 7109 Kensington, and 7103, 7104 and 7107 Drury to eliminate flooding and basement backups in Kensington and Drury Flood Protection (DCMB-270) 2000079, and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to purchase and demolish said real property. WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Eight Hundred Thirty Thousand Dollars ($830,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation Maintenance and Construction Improvement Fund of Deer Creek for the purchase and demolition of certain real property in the City of Maplewood, Missouri in known and numbered as 7105, 7107 and 7109 Kensington, and 7103, 7104 and 7107 Drury to eliminate flooding and basement backups in Kensington and Drury Flood Protection (DCMB-270) 2000079. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are 2 hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to purchase and demolish certain real property in the City of Maplewood, Missouri known and numbered as 7105, 7107 and 7109 Kensington, and 7103, 7104 and 7107 Drury to eliminate flooding and basement backups in Kensington and Drury Flood Protection (DCMB-270) 2000079. Section Three. Upon the execution and delivery to the District of a General Warranty Deed in proper form conveying title to the above-described real property to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized to pay to the grantors for said real property. Section Four. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 14, 2002 by the following vote – Ayes – C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, M.C. Williams, and J.M. Swartz. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
