HomeMy Public PortalAbout11367 O R D I N A N C E NO. 11367 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($680,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in CC-22 Schoettler/Clayton to Highway 40 Sanitary Replacement Phase I (90015), in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Southern Ditching & Excavating Company for the construction of the aforesaid sanitary sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said sanitary sewers is Six Hundred Forty-five Thousand Two Hundred Fifty-three and 35/100 Dollars ($645,253.35), and the allowance for construction change orders is Thirty-four Thousand Seven Hundred Forty-six and 65/100 Dollars ($34,746.65), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Six Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($680,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of sanitary sewers in CC-22 Schoettler/Clayton to Highway 40 Sanitary Replacement Phase I (90015), in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Southern Ditching & Excavating Company as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of sanitary sewers in CC-22 Schoettler/Clayton to Highway 40 Sanitary Replacement Phase I (90015), in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri, with the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 17th day of September, 2002. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 13, 2002 by the following vote – Ayes – C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, M.C. Williams, J.W. Siscel, and J.M. Swartz. Nays – None. Secretary-Treasurer
