HomeMy Public PortalAbout11372O R D I N A N C E NO. 11372 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Eight Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($860,000.00) from the Operation, Maintenance, and Construction Improvement Fund of Missouri River-Bonfils to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of main sewer lines in Missouri River Bonfils Inflow & Infiltration Correction Phase IV (97040B), in the City of Bridgeton, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. for the rehabilitation of the aforesaid main sewer lines. WHEREAS, the bid for the rehabilitation of said manholes is Eight Hundred Eleven Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-three and 50/100 Dollars ($811,973.50), and the allowance for construction change orders is Forty-eight Thousand Twenty-six and 50/100 Dollars ($48,026.50), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Eight Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($860,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Operation, Maintenance, and Construction Improvement Fund of Missouri River-Bonfils to be used for project costs for the rehabilitation of main sewer lines in Missouri River Bonfils 2 Inflow & Infiltration Correction Phase IV (97040B), in the City of Bridgeton, Missouri. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Insituform Technologies USA, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for the rehabilitation of main sewer lines in Missouri River Bonfils Inflow & Infiltration Correction Phase IV (97040B), in the City of Bridgeton, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 10th day of October, 2002. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 13, 2002 by the following vote – Ayes – C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, M.C. Williams, J.W. Siscel, and J.M. Swartz. Nays – None.
