HomeMy Public PortalAbout11374 O R D I N A N C E NO. 11374 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($650,000.00) from the Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Broadway and Steins Relief Sewers (2000101) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Southern Ditching & Excavating for the construction of the aforesaid storm sewers. WHEREAS, the bid for the construction of said storm sewers is Six Hundred Eight Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety-eight and 50/100 Dollars ($608,798.50), and the allowance for construction change orders is Forty-one Thousand Two Hundred One and 50/100 Dollars ($41, 201.50), and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Six Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($650,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Improvement Fund to be used for project costs for the construction of storm sewers in Broadway and Steins Relief Sewers (2000101), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. 2 Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into a contract with Southern Ditching & Excavating as the lowest responsible bidder for the construction of storm sewers in Broadway and Steins Relief Sewers (2000101), in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 24th day of October, 2002. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 13, 2002 by the following vote – Ayes – C.D. Seward, A.J. Soukenik, T.W. Purcell, M.C. Williams, J.W. Siscel, and J.M. Swartz. Nays – None.
